How has your course at Elite helped you in your current role or career?

With the hands-on practical component of the programme, I have been really well prepared for the treatments that I have been doing in my current role. It also gave me confidence that I would do a good job.

Have you won any awards or been selected as a finalist for any competitions? How did you feel?

Yes, I was awarded the Beautician of the Year 2018 – Elite Hamilton. It made me feel proud of myself and that my hard work had paid off.

What does your work involve?

I have been doing a lot of training involving laser hair removal, facials with and without machines, waxing, light therapy, and microdermabrasion’s.

What is the most exciting aspect of your job?

Learning laser and increasing my knowledge.

What were the highlights of your course?

The course definitely met my expectations, and the highlights included Graduation and meeting everyone else who goes to Elite.

What is one of the lessons you’ve learnt through your experience to date?

Confidence goes a long way and treating others the one way you want to be treated is very important.
