As
the biggest event of its kind in New Zealand, the SKY TV Special Children’s
Christmas Parties in association with NZME aim to put a smile on the faces of
special needs children. This year Elite
students were part of the fun with face painting and manicure tables proving
very popular.
The
event was held on Saturday 24 November, and around 2000 children attended. Eight Elite students and their Elite trainer,
Cinda were involved and gained valuable experience from the day. Cinda said, “Ensuring that each child had a
memorable day was extremely important to all the students. We were so busy and we all loved
participating so much the students have asked to be involved again next year.”
Elite student Rita Geard said, “We loved being involved in
the SKY TV children’s charity event. It was an amazing experience using our
skills to help put some smiles on children’s faces. We all felt very privileged
to be involved in the event”.
